Grupo Mexico S.A. de C.V. produced and sold 213,417 metric tons of copper in the second quarter of 2002, compared to 289,873 tons in the same quarter in 2001, according to a review of its second- quarter performance. Zinc sales and production totaled 31,666 tons for the quarter, versus 45,896 tons the year before, while lead output and sales were 6,914 tons versus 17,739 tons in 2001.
