Mexico's May mining: Zinc production rises 0.3 percent

Mexico's mining production fell 12.6 percent in May from the like 2001 month, the National Statistics Institute, or INEGI, said. In a press release, INEGI said gold output fell 11.4 percent to 2,146 kilograms, while silver production dropped 18.1 percent to 228,763 kilograms, compared with May 2001.
