ESK Ceramics GmbH & Co KG (Kempten, Germany) received the gold award in the competition Innovative Products for Aluminium and Non-Ferrous-Metal Casting at ALUMINIUM & NONFERMET 2008 in Kielce/Poland for its new EKamold~R Cast-M foundry coating. The three-strong jury was mainly looking for innovations that improve the quality of aluminium products and are also characterised by durability, ease of handling and environmental sustainability. The jury was made up of two scientific experts from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kielce/Poland and a representative of the Polish metal and foundry industry.
