Kerala Minerals and Metals Ltd (KMML) has done well producing more ilemnite, synthetic rutile and titanium dioxide during 2001-02, according to its MD, Mr. N. R. Subramaniam. The company is expected to make a profit of Rs 900 million during the year.Prices of titanium dioxide in the world market crashed by 30 to 40 percent in the world market. There was also reduction in import duty. But the company produced 17,200 tons of ilmenite during 2001-02, double that of previous year and a record of 2530 tons in March alone.
