This paper presents the results of casting operations atSidbec-Dosco (Ispat) with a novel Dual-Coil electromagnetic stirringsystem (M-EMS). The system incorporates the two sets of inductioncoils; one set arranged in the meniscus region and the other one in alower portion of the mold.
