Taiwan CS aluminium may seek 4,500 MT in spot tender late April

C.S. Aluminium Corp., Taiwan's biggest aluminium consumer, may issue a spot buy tender in the last two weeks of this month for 4,500 metric tons of aluminium ingots for use in the second quarter, a senior official of the company said. The amount is lower than the 9,000 tons the company had expected to buy in March. However, the official didn't provide the reasons. Of the total 4,500 tons, 3,000 tons will be Good Western aluminium, which has purity of at least 99.7 percent. The remaining 1,500 tons will be aluminium ingots of lower grades, the official said.
