Awareness and perceptions of clinical guidelines for the diagnostics and treatment of severe behavioural problems in children across Europe: A qualitative survey with academic experts

Gatej, Alexandra-RalucaLamers, Audrivan Domburgh, LiekeCrone, Matty...

Over the last decade, clinical practice guidelines for SBPs have been developed across Europe to facilitate the translation of scientific evidence into clinical practice. This study outlines the results of an investigation into academic experts' perspectives on the current prevalence, implementation, and utility of clinical guidelines for SBPs in children aged 6-12 across Europe.

Cost-effectiveness analysis of collaborative treatment of late-life depression in primary care (GermanIMPACT)

    Koenig, Hans-HelmutGrochtdreis, ThomasBrettschneider, ChristianBjerregaard, Frederike...

查看更多>>摘要:Background: Late-life depression is a highly prevalent disorder that causes a large economic burden. A stepped collaborative care program was set up in order to improve care for patients with late-life depression in primary care in Germany: GermanIMPACT is the adaption of the Improving Mood-Promoting Access to Collaborative Treatment (IMPACT) program that has already been established in primary care in the USA. The aim of this study was to determine the cost-effectiveness of GermanIMPACT compared with treatment as usual from a societal perspective.

Prevalence of late-life depression and gap in mental health service use across European regions

    Horackova, KaterinaKopecek, MiloslavMachu, VendulaKagstrom, Anna...
    7页
查看更多>>摘要:Background We aimed to determine the prevalence and gap in use of mental health services for late-life depression in four European regions (Western Europe, Scandinavia, Southern Europe and Central and Eastern Europe) and explore socio-demographic, social and health-related factors associated with it.

Unmet needs in patients with brief psychotic disorders: Too ill for clinical high risk services and not ill enough for first episode services

    Fusar-Poli, PaoloMinichino, AmedeoRutigliano, GraziaMerlino, Sergio...
    7页
查看更多>>摘要:Background: Patients with acute and transient psychotic disorders (ATPDs) are by definition remitting, but have a high risk of developing persistent psychoses, resembling a subgroup of individuals at Clinical High Risk for Psychosis (CHR-P). Their pathways to care, treatment offered and long-term clinical outcomes beyond risk to psychosis are unexplored. We conducted an electronic health record-based retrospective cohort study including patients with ATPDs within the SLaM NHS Trust and followed-up to 8 years.

Effectiveness of CBT for children and adolescents with depression: A systematic review and meta-regression analysis

de Graaf, IreenKendall, TimEngels, RutgerStikkelbroek, Yvonne...
    13页
查看更多>>摘要:Background: Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is first choice of treatment for depressive symptoms and disorders in adolescents, however improvements are necessary because overall efficacy is low. Insights on CBT components and contextual and structural characteristics might increase the efficacy. The aim of our approach is to evaluate the efficacy of CBT for youth with depression and investigate the influence of specific components, contextual and structural factors that could improve effects.

IL-10 is associated with increased mu-opioid receptor levels in major depressive disorder

Al-Fadhel, Suhaer ZekiAl-Hakeim, Hussein KadhemAl-Dujaili, Arafat HusseinMaes, Michael...

查看更多>>摘要:Objective: Activation of the immune-inflammatory response system (IRS) and the compensatory immune-regulatory system (CIRS) and aberrations in endogenous opioids play a role in the pathophysiology of major depressive disorder (MDD). There are no studies which examined the associations between both systems in MDD. The aim of the present study was to examine the relation between beta-Endorphin (beta-EP), Endomorphin-2, and their mu-opioid receptor (MOR) as well as interleukin (IL)-6 and IL-10, an anti-inflammatory cytokine, in MDD patients.

Characterization of Mood Instability through Bipolar Disorders: A cluster-analytic approach using weekly prospective life-chart methodology

    Strejilevich, S. A.Martino, D. J.Szmulewicz, A. G.
    6页
查看更多>>摘要:BackgroundThe aim of this study was to characterize mood instability (MI) in Bipolar Disorder (BD) and to investigate potential differences between subtype I and II.

The Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) and the historical roots of psychopathology: A viewpoint

    Stoyanov, DrozdstoyTelles-Correia, DiogoCuthbert, Bruce N.
    3页
查看更多>>摘要:In this article we aim at conceptual reconstruction of the historical background behind RDoC project. It incorporates some elements that have not heretofore been included in frameworks for psychopathology research. At the same time, however, RDoC - like any approach to mental illness - must grapple with longstanding challenges in addressing issues about the roles and relationships of mind, brain, and patients' reports in considering the nature of disorder. In this respect, the historical roots of psychopathology remain as relevant as ever. (c) 2018 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.

Developmental cascades of internalising symptoms, externalising problems and cognitive ability from early childhood to middle adolescence

Flouri, EiriniPapachristou, EfstathiosMidouhas, EmilyPloubidis, George B....
    9页
查看更多>>摘要:Background: Cognitive ability and problem behaviour (externalising and internalising problems) are variable and inter-related in children. However, it is not known if they mutually influence one another, if difficulties in one cause difficulties in the other, or if they are related only because they share causes.

Hippocampal subfield volumes in major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder

    Han, Kyu-ManKim, AramKang, WooyoungKang, Youbin...
    8页
查看更多>>摘要:Background: The hippocampus is not a uniform structure, but rather consists of multiple, functionally specialized subfields. Few studies have explored hippocampal subfield volume difference in the same sample of major depressive disorder (MDD) and bipolar disorder (BD) cases. We aimed to investigate the difference of hippocampal subfield volume between patents with MDD and BD and healthy controls (HCs).
