There exists always an assumption of private and government employees differences lies in work culture, work autonomy and decision making which have been accepted generally by various researchers. Creating a work environment that can automatically motivate employees is one of the toughest challenges that every organization faces today. As each employee and their perception towards motivation are unique in nature, the researcher has conducted the present study with selected five cadres of employees in Tamil Nadu Government under two major departments. It is concluded that the employees of Government of Tamil Nadu are attaching more importance for non-monetary incentives than the monetary incentives. They are working with reasonably good level of motivation.

Some of the applications in which AI is used are Pattern recognition, Artificial Creativity, Image Processing, and Machine Learning. This paper deals with one of the application of AI that is Machine Learning. It has strong ties to artificial Intelligence. There are many techniques that come under machine learning for pattern recognition. One of the technique is Relevance Vector Machine (RVM). The aim of this article is to apply RVM to classify breast cancer and get better results with fewer numbers of attributes.

Shallow-Water Acoustics Investigations for Underwater Detection and Seabed Imaging

Considering that high resolution echosounder system provides acoustic images of high-quality, this research have been interested in shallow water investigations for underwater objects. This work presented recent detection algorithms for coral reef, seagrass, and seabed using signal processing. Acoustic reflectivity and backscatter strength of coral reef were higher than seagrass. The lifeform of coral reef had different acoustic intensity value.

Such quantities of information need not only huge amounts of storage however unexampled process power likewise. To be ready to face this future challenges additional and additional square measure trying towards cloud computing, which may address these challenges quite effectively with its apparently unlimited storage capability, fast information, distribution and processing capabilities. Since the offered literature on a way to implement cloud based biometric services is extraordinarily scarce, this paper capitalizes on the foremost necessary challenges encountered throughout the event work on biometric services, presents the analysis of the fingerprint data by using cloud services. In this work, fingerprints are collected of 100 to 10 million people and processing is done on cloud only. A new methodology is explained in which firstly data is uploaded on the server and then the images which we want to compare is uploaded. Then its size and RGB of each pixel is compared. If the match found, then the resultant image is returned to the client.

Because of the mobility of the nodes, one or more new nodes join into the network as well as leave the network at any time. Every node should have a unique address to participate in a communication. Address assignment in ad hoc networks is a critical problem because of its dynamic topology. Any addressing protocol should cope with network dynamics of ad hoc networks. In this paper, we propose an approach for identifying network merge and assigning addresses without conflicts for newly joining network nodes and also reclaim the addresses of leaving nodes for future use. The simulation results shows that our protocol efficiently handles network partitioning and merging with less delay and communication overhead when compare to other protocols.

Development of Advanced Sonar Sensor Model for Underwater Terrain Mapping based on Occupancy Grids

The proposed sonar sensor model basically considers the losses of received ultrasound intensity according to the underwater absorption and reflection on a terrain surface. The Bayes filter including the advanced sonar sensor model is applied to build an occupancy grid map. The underwater sonar data is acquired by the pencil beam type's sonar sensor mounted on the unmanned surface vehicle (USV). The experimental results show underwater terrain maps before and after applying the proposed method. The depth standard deviations of the terrain grid maps are calculated to evaluate the performance of this approach. With the proposed sonar sensor model, the depth standard deviation average of underwater grid map is decreased by almost 35 percent.

Once the furthest values of the input set equal to the user defined number of clusters K are found, the remaining values of the input set are then assigned into clusters formed by the K Strange input points using the Euclidean distance measure. The CODED EKSTRAP clustering algorithm is an extension of the Enhanced K Strange Points clustering algorithm and can be used in applications requiring the use of multiple distance measures based on the requirements of the operations involved.

We can prolong the lifetime of the sensor network by using the cooperative caching and hence decrease the energy consumption of a sensor node. In this paper we are studying various previous techniques of cooperative caching to minimize delay and reduce battery consumption in the network.

Optimization and Solution Approximation of Design Problems formulated by Axiomatic Design and Paracomplete Logic

查看更多>>摘要:Of primary importance in Axiomatic Design (AD) theory is Suh's first axiom, stating that the independence of functional requirements should be maintained throughout the design process. Para-complete logics, such as fuzzy logic, can be used to express the relationship between functional requirements (FRs) and design parameters (DPs) in AD. This is especially true in cases where this relationship can only be codified using linguistic variables. In fact, para-complete logics violate the principle of the excluded third party, allowing for the effects of changes in DP within the same FR to be considered partially independent of each other. Recently, a paper was published investigating changes in the concept of decoupled design when para-complete logics are applied to FRs-DPs link definition. Using an example case, this paper evaluated the impact of a designer's decoupling capability using composition rules for FRs, in order to make the design matrix diagonal or lower triangular by decoupling the effects of several DPs on different FRs using fuzzy formulation. α-cut is a powerful instrument used to modify membership functions in order to approximate a non-optimized solution to an optimized one, by simply modifying the membership values. In this paper, we attempt to elaborate a simple optimization method based on a controlled approximation given by several α values applied to different membership functions. We then introduce a new method to control and evaluate the amount of that approximation.
