Patent Application Titled 'Mobile Cleaning Robot Suspension' Published Online (USPTO 20240041285)

    144-146页
查看更多>>摘要:According to news reporting originating from Washington, D.C., by NewsRx journalists, a patent application by the inventor Neumann, Rogelio Manfred (Somerville, MA, US), filed on August 2, 2022, was made available online on February 8, 2024. No assignee for this patent application has been made. Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “Mobile robots include mobile cleaning robots that can perform cleaning tasks within an environment, such as a home. A mobile cleaning robot can navigate across a floor surface and avoid obstacles while spraying fluid or applying fluid via a pad. The fluid can then be absorbed by a pad to effectively perform mopping operations within the environment as the robot traverses the environment.” In addition to obtaining background information on this patent application, NewsRx editors also obtained the inventor’s summary information for this patent application: “Mobile cleaning robots can autonomously navigate through environments to perform cleaning operations, often traversing over, and navigating around, obstacles. Mobile cleaning robots include suspension systems to provide sufficient wheel downforce to overcome obstacles and to provide effective cleaning on various surfaces. Because obstacles can vary in shape and size and because floor types can also vary, a required wheel downforce can vary during operation of the robot. Many robots include suspension systems using an extension or compression spring directly connected to wheel arms, which can effectively deliver downforce; however, in mopping robots, the mass or weight of the robot can vary throughout a mission, altering the preferred delivered downforce for optimal cleaning performance.

No assignee for this patent application has been made. News editors obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “ “The invention relates generally to the field of cleaning robots. More specifically, the present invention relates to an autonomous cleaning robot system and method which recycles cleaning fluid and employs germicidal ultraviolet radiation to disinfect both cleaning fluid as well as the surface to be cleaned. “Autonomous robot floor cleaning devices are known in the art. Such devices are configured to clean hard floor surfaces such as tile, wood, and concrete floors, and to freely move from one surface type to the other unattended and without interrupting the cleaning process. Known devices typically include an autonomous locomotion mechanism, a brush mechanism and a vacuum mechanism.

Researchers Submit Patent Application, 'Machine Learning Predictive Modeling With Natural Language Processing Of End-User Communications', for Approval (USPTO 20240046178)

查看更多>>摘要:From Washington, D.C., NewsRx journalists report that a patent application by the inventors Henryson, Stacy Renee (Clive, IA, US); Penfil, Richard (San Francisco, CA, US), filed on October 16, 2023, was made available online on February 8, 2024. The patent’s assignee is Wells Fargo Bank N.A. (San Francisco, California, United States). News editors obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “Enterprises may receive feedback in a variety of forms and from a multitude of internal and external computing devices. Feedback records based on user complaints may be generated via software executing on various internal computing devices that track communications from external computing devices and record textual annotations and comments as well as metadata or other non-textual data (e.g., audio recordings of certain communications). Such complaint records may be transmitted to other internal computing devices for categorization or other evaluation. However, there may be no consistent and reliable contextualization of records.”

'Systems, Devices, And Methods For Generating A Polygon Mesh Model' in Patent Application Approval Process (USPTO 20240046572)

查看更多>>摘要:A patent application by the inventors Moore, Jonathan McCully (Nanaimo, CA); Ranjbar, Mani (Port Coquitlam, CA), filed on August 8, 2023, was made available online on February 8, 2024, according to news reporting originating from Washington, D.C., by NewsRx correspondents. This patent application has not been assigned to a company or institution. The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background information supplied by the inventors: “A polygon mesh model comprises a collection of vertices, edges, and faces that define a shape of a polyhedral object. The faces are usually polygons. The faces may include convex and/or concave polygons. In some examples, the faces include triangles. In other examples, the faces include quadrilaterals. In some examples, the polygon mesh model comprises polygons consisting of a coplanar set of faces. Polygon mesh models are typically used in 3D computer graphics and geometric modeling. “Robots are machines that can assist humans or substitute for humans. Robots can be used in diverse applications including construction, manufacturing, monitoring, exploration, learning, and entertainment. Robots can be used in dangerous or uninhabitable environments, for example.

Patent Issued for Decision tree training with difference subsets of training samples based on a plurality of classifications (USPTO 11893506)

查看更多>>摘要:According to news reporting originating from Alexandria, Virginia, by NewsRx journalists, a patent by the inventors Chu, Peter L. (Lexington, MA, US), Liu, Yibo (Boxborough, MA, US), Wang, Xiangdong (Carlisle, MA, US), filed on June 23, 2020, was published online on February 6, 2024. The assignee for this patent, patent number 11893506, is Hewlett-Packard Development Company L.P. (Spring, Texas, United States). Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “Decision trees may be used to classify samples of images. For example, a decision tree may be used to classify content in an image and/or identify parts of an image, such as for face or body detection. The training time and computational load required to train a decision tree is a function of the number of features being tested and the number of possible classifications. A challenge is to reduce the training time and computational load for training and operating decision trees.”

Researchers Submit Patent Application, 'Inspection System', for Approval (USPTO 20240044807)

The ink stations each include a reservoir, referred to as an ink fountain, to store ink that will be applied to cans.

Extensive novel diversity and phenotypic associations in the dromedary camel microbiome are revealed through deep metagenomics and machine learning

查看更多>>摘要:According to news reporting based on a preprint abstract, our journalists obtained the following quote sourced from biorxiv.org: “The dromedary camel, also known as one-humped camel or Arabian camel, is an iconic and economically important feature of Arabian society. Its contemporary importance in commerce and transportation, along with the historical and modern use of its milk and meat products for dietary health and wellness, make it an ideal subject of scientific scrutiny. The gut microbiome has recently been associated with numerous aspects of health, diet, lifestyle, and disease in livestock and humans alike, as well as serving as an exploratory and diagnostic marker of many physical characteristics. “Our initial pilot analysis of 55 camel gut microbiomes from the Fathi Camel Microbiome Project using deep metagenomic shotgun sequencing reveals substantial novel species-level microbial diversity, for which we have generated an extensive catalog of prokaryotic metagenome-assembled microorganisms (MAGs) as a foundational microbial reference database for future comparative analysis. Exploratory correlation analysis exhibits substantial correlation structure among the collected subject-level metadata, including physical characteristics. Machine learning using these novel microbial markers, as well as statistical testing, demonstrates strong predictive performance of microbes to distinguish between multiple dietary and lifestyle characteristics in dromedary camels.
