The patent’s assignee is Shanghai United Imaging Intelligence Co. Ltd. (Shanghai , People’s Republic of China). News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: “Conventional patient modeling methods can only obtain a th ree-dimensional (3D) surface model of the patient. To enrich the information tha t may be encompassed in a patient model and make it applicable to more clinical applications, it may be desirable to model the interior anatomical structures of the patient together with the 3D surface model. Information regarding these int erior anatomical structures may be obtained through one or more of the common me dical scans such as computed tomography (CT), X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or ultrasound imaging. Compared to the other imaging techniques, ultrasou nd imaging may be faster and safer, have a noninvasive nature, and be less expen sive than the MRI and CT alternatives. Accordingly, it may be beneficial to obta in the information regarding a patient’s interior anatomical structures by using ultrasound imaging techniques.”

Patent number 11986165 is assigned to Moon Surgical SAS (Paris, France). The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied by the inventors: “Managing vision and access during a laparoscopi c procedure is a challenge. The surgical assistant paradigm is inherently imperf ect, as the assistant is being asked to anticipate and see with the surgeon’s ey es, without standing where the surgeon stands, and similarly to anticipate and a djust how the surgeon wants the tissue of interest exposed, throughout the proce dure. For example, during a laparoscopic procedure, one assistant may be require d to hold a retractor device to expose tissue for the surgeon, while another ass istant may be required to hold a laparoscope device to provide a field of view o f the surgical space within the patient to the surgeon during the procedure, eit her one of which may be required to hold the respective tools in an impractical position, e.g., from between the arms of the surgeon while the surgeon is active ly operating additional surgical instruments.

Patent number 11989843 is assigned to Snap Inc. (Santa Monica, California, Unite d States). The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied by the inventors: “Robots can be taught new skills using programmi ng by demonstration (PbD). An operator teaches a robot by physically demonstrati ng a task: the operator manually moves components (e.g., arms, gripper, physical objects) of the robot through a set of sequential configurations (e.g., positio n, orientation of the components) to demonstrate the task. Multiple sensors are disposed in the physical environment to capture the set of sequential configurat ions. However, some robots and physical objects can be too large, too heavy, too fragile, or too dangerous for the operator.

No assignee for this patent application has been made. Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “In the technical fields of pathological medicine and cell cul ture, the number of cells present in images obtained by imaging a cell mass comp osed of a plurality of cells is often used as a numerical criterion for judging a state, e.g. a developmental status, of cells or a tissue. It is a large burden on an operator to visually count a multitude of cells. For this reason, a techn ique for analyzing images and automatically counting the number of cells has bee n proposed.

Patent number 11987884 is assigned to Jnk Tech (San Jose, California, United Sta tes). The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied by the inventors: “Glasses and wafers referred to hereinafter as a substrate, are coated with a variety of coatings to enhance their mechanical, c hemical, optical, electric, magnetic, or other properties. Typically, one or mor e thin films are deposited on the substrate by one of several known processes, s uch as chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is a common process for depositing thin f ilms on substrates. The deposition process is conducted in special chambers, suc h as PECVD or PVD chambers. Robots are used to handle the glass in and out of th e chambers without any human intervention. The deposition process is generally m onitored for any defects, such as chipping, break, spot/stain etc. can be detect ed with known vision systems. However, the known inspection methods have several limitations. The deposition process is prone to several kinds of defects which cannot be detected by known inspection systems. Moreover, the known inspection s ystems cannot recognize the substrate location in the process chamber and a lot of other process parameters.

The assignee for this patent application is Nimble Robotics Inc. (San Francisco, California, United States). Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “The present disclosure relates to robotic systems, and more p articularly, to a system including a robot and a shuttle device for picking and/ or sorting items within fulfillment centers. “Warehouses, or e-commerce fulfillment centers, require systems that enable the efficient storage, retrieval and shipment of a large number of diverse products. Inventory is typically stored in containers and arranged on rows of shelving on either side of an aisle. Each container holds a plurality of items of one or mo re product types. The aisles provide access between the shelving for a human or robot to migrate the aisles and retrieve the desired products.

查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning Daily News Daily News – According to news reporting based on a preprint abstract, our journalists obtained the following quote sourced from me drxiv.org: “Importance: Despite the availability of disease-modifying therapies, scalable s trategies for heart failure (HF) risk stratification remain elusive. Portable de vices capable of recording single-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs) can enable larg e-scale community-based risk assessment. Objective: To evaluate an artificial in telligence (AI) algorithm to predict HF risk from noisy single-lead ECGs. Design : Multicohort study.Setting: Retrospective cohort of individuals with outpatien t ECGs in the integrated Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) and prospective po pulation-based cohorts of UK Biobank (UKB) and Brazilian Longitudinal Study of A dult Health (ELSA-Brasil). Participants: Individuals without HF at baseline. Exp osures: AI-ECG-defined risk of left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD). Mai n Outcomes and Measures: Among individuals with ECGs, we isolated lead I ECGs an d deployed a noise-adapted AI-ECG model trained to identify LVSD. We evaluated t he association of the model probability with new-onset HF, defined as the first HF hospitalization. We compared the discrimination of AI-ECG against the pooled cohort equations to prevent HF (PCP-HF) score for new-onset HF using Harrel9s C- statistic, integrated discrimination improvement (IDI), and net reclassification improvement (NRI). Results: There were 194,340 YNHHS patients (age 56 years [IQR, 41-69], 112,082 women [58% ]), 42,741 UKB participants (65 years [59- 71], 21,795 women [52%] ), and 13,454 ELSA-Brasil participants (56 years [41-69] , 7,348 women [55%]) with bas eline ECGs.
