In tandem with this rise is the need to have human-like interactions and/or create applications that mimic the tone, cadence, and speech patterns of humans. Additionally, in order to fulfill user-interaction requirem ents, these applications need to be helpful, and thus respond intelligently by p roviding relevant responses to user inputs, whether these inputs are received vi a text, audio, or video input.”

'Separation of Film Layer from Composite Prepreg' in Patent Application Approval Process (USPTO 20240139963)

    115-117页
查看更多>>摘要:The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied by the inventors: “ “The present disclosure generally relates to the production of composite laminat e parts, and deals more particularly with a method, apparatus and system for sep arating a poly backing film from composite prepreg. “Thermoset preimpregnated (“prepreg”) composite material is normally supplied as a single ply thickness in roll form having an adhered poly film layer on one si de of the ply. The poly film layer functions to prevent layer-to-layer sticking when the material is in roll form or stacked as sheets. The poly film layer, som etimes referred to as “backing paper” remains on the ply to prevent sticking whi le it is being stored and/or cut to a final shape. The poly film layer must be r emoved before the ply is laid up to form a composite part. The use of automated equipment to remove the poly film layer in high production environments can be c hallenging because the removal process must begin with the initial step of separ ating film layer from the ply along an edge of the ply. Separating the film from the ply is also challenging because the separation process must avoid damaging or contaminating the ply.

Users may include emojis in messages and/or in response to messages, such that emojis may contain significant amounts of information abo ut users’ sentiment regarding a particular topic.

Researchers Submit Patent Application, 'Welding cell, use thereof and welding me thod performed therewith', for Approval (USPTO 20240139854)

    122-127页
查看更多>>摘要:News editors obtained the following quote from the background information suppli ed by the inventors: “Resistance spot welding became commonly used in the automo tive industry. For example, spot welding is used for connecting vehicle metal bo dy parts. A welding gun for spot welding generally has two electrodes with at le ast one movable electrode driven by a linear electromechanical actuator (hereina fter, EMA). The welding gun is located on an arm of an industrial manipulator (h ereinafter, a robot), which is controlled by the controller of the robot. During configuration, a spatial coordinate of the end of the electrode of the welding gun is determined, for example, by bringing the electrode to the calibration pla te without a gap between them and recording the current coordinate. Before weldi ng, the robot is trained-with a control unit an operator brings the welding gun to the weld spot such that the second electrode touches one of the workpieces. D uring welding, the robot moves the welding gun to two or more workpieces fixed i n the equipment such that the one of welding gun electrodes touches one of the w orkpieces at a right angle to the surface of the part to be welded. Then, in res ponse to a command from a weld timer to the robot controller in accordance with a welding program stored in the weld timer internal memory, the EMA brings the m ovable electrode to the workpieces. After the movable electrode contacts one of the workpieces, the welding gun clamps the workpieces between the electrodes wit h a prescribed force. This force is maintained by limitation of EMA motor curren t consumption at a certain level corresponding to said force. Further, the force which the workpiece is clamped with is referred to as an electrode clamping for ce. Then by a command from the weld timer in accordance with the stored welding program, the prescribed electric current is passed to a transformer located on t he welding gun. The transformer amplifies the current to thousands of amperes an d passes the current through the electrodes, in particular, through caps on the ends thereof that contact the workpieces, and through the workpieces, which caus es local heating, melts the metal in the clamped area and forms a weld nugget. A fter the welding current is no longer supplied (electric current application is predefined in the welding program as well), the metal cools and hardens, and the parts become joined at the weld nugget-a weld spot is created. Then the weld ti mer sends command to the robot to open the welding gun and release welded parts. The robot then moves the welding gun electrode away from the completed weld spo t and to a next weld place on the same parts.

In the case of recorded interactions, the data may involve thousands of hour s of audio calls, millions of words of text from chats, transcripts, and the like.

Patent Application Titled 'Method of Handling Gear Pump, Control System, Coating Apparatus and Robot System' Published Online (USPTO 20240141894)

    132-137页
查看更多>>摘要:Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “In robotized painting processes, a gear pump is often used to control the dosing of paint to an atomizer. The paint result is highly dependen t on an accurate control of the paint flow rate. For automotive robotic painting , the paint dosing accuracy by the gear pump directly affects the painting resul t. “Over time, the gear pump is worn and the flow rate through the gear pump at a g iven rotational speed therefore decreases due to an increased internal leakage o f the gear pump. When the wear exceeds a certain limit, the gear pump must be re placed or serviced. Some gear pumps also become mechanically damaged or are impr operly mounted, resulting in an inaccurate dosing of liquid.

Patent Application Titled 'Automated Decision Optimization For Maintenance Of Ph ysical Assets' Published Online (USPTO 20240144052)

    139-142页
查看更多>>摘要:Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors: “One or more aspects relate, in general, to dynamic processing within a computing environment, and in particular, to improving such processing , as it relates to the maintenance of physical assets. “The maintenance of physical assets includes the planning and/or scheduling of m aintenance for the assets. Although techniques to perform asset maintenance and other management tasks exist, those techniques vary widely for many reasons. For example, data is obtained from multiple sources at various levels of granularit y. Further, predictive models are customized to specific asset classes, regions and network structures. The techniques are myopic in terms of scope, e.g., tailo red for a sub-network instead of system wide. Yet further, there are operator ob jectives (e.g., repair only; replace or repair; replace, repair, reuse; maintena nce planning; maintenance scheduling; etc.), operator constraints, and/or operat ional dynamics (e.g., asset health, demand patterns, risk tolerance, etc.) to be considered.
