    Principle of MSD floating-point division based on Newton-Raphson method on ternary optical computer

    查看更多>>摘要:The division operation is not frequent relatively in traditional applications,but it is increasingly indispensable and important in many modern applications.In this paper,the implementation of modified signed-digit(MSD)floating-point division using Newton-Raphson method on the system of ternary optical computer(TOC)is studied.Since the addition of MSD floating-point is carry-free and the digit width of the system of TOC is large,it is easy to deal with the enough wide data and transform the division operation into multiplication and addition operations.And using data scan and truncation the problem of digits expansion is effectively solved in the range of error limit.The division gets the good results and the efficiency is high.The instance of MSD floating-point division shows that the method is feasible.

    查看更多>>摘要:In this paper,we utilize the framework of multi-label learning for face demographic classification.We also attempt to explore the suitable classifiers and features for face demographic classification.Three most popular demographic information,gender,ethnicity and age are considered in experiments.Based on the results from demographic classification,we utilize statistic analysis to explore the correlation among various face demographic information.Through the analysis,we draw several conclusions on the correlation and interaction among these high-level face semantic,and the obtained results can be helpful in automatic face semantic annotation and other face analysis tasks.

    查看更多>>摘要:Building an abstract model of the web application is the chief task of software test based on model,which is an efficient way for testing the web application.One problem with current web application test technologies is the lack of tools for modeling the whole web software,especially the lack of support for describing web application from the view of action and function.This paper is concerned with providing the support for development and test of the web application.The presented novel model,named component-based and tree-oriented web application development model(CBTOWADM),abstracts the web application as a tree based on its system function and business process.CBTOWADM not only simplifies the design and development of the web application,but also acts as the model middleware for software test.The basic model definition,the system framework and the application in software test of CBTOWADM is described.

    查看更多>>摘要:The optical flow analysis of the image sequence based on the formal lattice Boltzmann equation,with different DdQm models,is discussed in this paper.The algorithm is based on the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM),which is used in computational fluid dynamics theory for the simulation of fluid dynamics.At first,a generalized approximation to the formal lattice Boltzmann equation is discussed.Then the effects of different DdQm models on the results of the optical flow estimation are compared with each other,while calculating the movement vectors of pixels in the image sequence.The experimental results show that the higher dimension DdQm models,e.g.,D3Q15 are more effective than those lower dimension ones.

    查看更多>>摘要:Formal models for service composition have been proposed with the variation of the requirements of service developers.Some famous models have provided checking and verification techniques and tools for the behavior of service composition.These models generally focus much on the message flow of web services and neglecting the data contained in the exchanged messages among services,which restrict the application range of these models and also the web service techniques.As new kind of services with different protocols and communication methods have appeared,it is needed to model service composition from a new view which is adapted to the new development in service area.In this paper we offer a function oriented model of service composition which treats the composite service as a software system and specify the function of services which can be directly used to the realization by service providers.

    查看更多>>摘要:The implementation and optimization of the traditional contour generation algorithms are always proposed for the common processor.When processing high resolution images,the performance often exists low efficiency.A new graphics processing unit(GPU)-based algorithm is proposed to get the clear and integrated contour of leaves.Firstly we implement the classic Sobel operator of edge detection in GPU.Then a simple and effective method is designed to remove the fake edge and a heuristic algorithm is used to repair the broken edge.It is proved by the experiments that the results of our algorithm are natural and realistic in terms of morphology and can be good materials for the virtual plant.

    查看更多>>摘要:Cloud computing is a new computing model.The resource monitoring tools are immature compared to traditional distributed computing and grid computing.In order to better monitor the virtual resource in cloud computing,a periodically and event-driven push(PEP)monitoring model is proposed.Taking advantage of the push and event-driven mechanism,the model can provide comparatively adequate information about usage and status of the resources.It can simplify the communication between Master and Work Nodes without missing the important issues happened during the push interval.Besides,we develop “mon” to make up for the deficiency of Libvirt in monitoring of virtual CPU and memory.

    查看更多>>摘要:With the advances of electronic information technology and computer network,especially the embedded technology,smart home is no more just a vision but being practical.The interoperability of heterogeneous devices and flexibility of devices'usage are two key problems that challenge the implementation of smart home.To deal with these two issues,this paper proposes an event-driven service oriented architecture using device profile for web services(DPWS).DPWS inherits the advantages of the traditional web services in achieving interoperability without dependence on platform,while improving service discovery and security as well as being optimized for deploying on resource constrained devices.By providing a visual interface for describing a service workflow(SW),the user can easily customize the actions of devices by services composition.Devices automatically cooperate without user's intervention to complete required business logic.This is achieved by fully exploiting the eventing capabilities on DPWS enabled home devices.Finally,a home theater scenario is given to illustrate the event driven mechanism for the SW in the proposed smart home framework.

    查看更多>>摘要:As a coprocessor,field-programmable gate array(FPGA)is the hardware computing processor accelerating the computing capacity of computers.To efficiently manage the hardware free resources for the placing of tasks on FPGA and take full advantage of the partially reconfigurable units,good utilization of chip resources is an important and necessary work.In this paper,a new method is proposed to find the complete set of maximal free resource rectangles based on the cross point of edge lines of running tasks on FPGA area,and the prove process is provided to make sure the correctness of this method.

    查看更多>>摘要:Reconfiguration is the key to produce an applicable ternary optical computer(TOC).The method to implement the reconfiguration function determines whether a TOC can step into applied fields or not.In this work,a design of the reconfiguration circuit based on field programmable gates array(FPGA)is proposed,and the structure of the entire hardware system is discussed.
