查看更多>>摘要:In this article,NiCr coatings with chromium content of 13%,27%and 41%were prepared by arc spraying.They were exposed in molten salts(NaCl-Na2SO4)at 800℃for 200 hours.The effect of chromium content on the hot corrosion behavior of the coatings was in-vestigated.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscope with energy dispersion spectrum(SEM-EDS)were used to analyze the phase compositions,morphologies and chemical compositions of the coatings.The results show that NiCr13 coating exhibited the worst hot corrosion resistance due to the low chromium content,which resulted in NiO being the major reaction product.It should be noted that the hot corrosion resistance of NiCr27 coating was better than that of NiCr41 coating.The basic fluxing of Cr2O3 lowered its protection during the hot corrosion process and led to the formation of porous Cr2O3 on the NiCr41 coating.The molten salts accelerated the oxidation reac-tion resulting in thicker and porous oxide scales formed on the surfaces of coatings.
查看更多>>摘要:The mechanical and frictional properties of ta-C coatings deposited on the substrate surface affect applications in the field of cut-ting tools and wear-resistant components.In this paper,the effect of bias parameters on the performance of ta-C coatings was investigated based on high power impulse magnetron sputtering(HiPIMS)technology.The results show that bias voltage has a significant effect on the deposition rate,structure,and wear resistance of the coating.In the range of bias voltage-50 V to-200 V,the ta-C coating performance was the best under bias voltage-150 V.The thickness reached 530.4 nm,the hardness value reached 35.996 GPa,and the bonding force in-creased to 14.2 N.The maximum sp3 bond content was 59.53%at this condition.
查看更多>>摘要:This study revealed the effect of Mn on the formation of hybrid zirconium-based conversion coatings(HZCC)on low carbon steel.The XPS results indicated that the Mn compounds on the surface of low carbon steel were mainly MnO and Mn2SiO4.Combined with the electrochemical measurements,the corrosion resistance of HZCC showed an increase followed by a decrease with increasing Mn concentration,which was related to the Mn2SiO4 and SiO2 on the surface of low carbon steel.The excessive Mn concentration resulted in the loss of SiO2 and aggregation of Mn2SiO4 on the low carbon steel surface,which caused the aggregation of Zr compounds on the surface and reduced the uniformity of the coating.Meanwhile,a moderate amount of Mn addition would be beneficial to increase the adhesion of organic coatings.
查看更多>>摘要:The key components of engineering machinery frequently failed due to working in the high load and high wear operating envir-onment.And the performance of the Fe-based alloy coatings typically employed need to be improved for fulfilling the service requirements.Herein,a TiC strengthened Fe-based alloy cladding layer,named TiC-Fe coating,was designed and prepared by plasma cladding technology.The frictional wear performance of coating under various loads was tested.The wear morphology of the coating was observed,and its wear mechanism was examined.The results indicated that the TiC-Fe coating was well formed and metallurgically bonded to the Q345C substrate.Its microstructure mainly consisted of Fe-Cr solid solution,α-Fe phase,(Fe,Cr)7C3 phase and TiC phase.The coating exhibited an average microhardness of 980 HV0.2,which was about 5.4 times that of the Q345C substrate.The wear mass loss of the TiC-Fe coatings was much smaller than that of the Q345C substrate,which indicated that the wear resistance of the Q345C coating was superior to the substrate,and the wear mechanism of the coating was mainly attributed to the abrasive wear.
查看更多>>摘要:Under the working environment of high temperature and strong load impact,hot forging die is prone to failure which reduces the service life of die.Using arc additive manufacturing in the die cavity,a gradient material hot forging die with high precision,superior per-formance,and conformal cooling channels is developed.This improves the toughness of the die cavity and reduces the working temperature,thereby forming an isothermal field,which is an effective method to enhance the lifespan of the hot forging die.Three kinds of gradient flux-cored wires are designed for the surface of 5CrNiMo steel,and the microstructure and mechanical properties between gradient interfaces were studied.Based on the spatial curved structure of shaped waterways in the hot forging die cavity,a study was conducted on the strategy of partitioned forming for the manufacturing of the die with shaped waterways.In order to avoid interference with the arc gun,the hot for-ging die is divided into four regions,namely the transition region,upper,middle,and lower region,based on a combination of cavity depth and internal U-shaped and quadrilateral structures.The results show that the developed flux-cored wires have good moldability with straight sides of deposited metal under different process parameters and flat surface without cracks,pores and other defects.Under the same working conditions,the life of hot forging die formed by the gradient materials is more than multiple times that of the single material hot forging die,and the temperature gradient field of the shaped waterway die is 7℃/cm smaller than that of traditional straight waterway.
查看更多>>摘要:The effects of vanadium(V)on the microstructures and mechanical properties of the TiC cermet fusion welding interface were studied by adjusting the content of V in the self-developed flux-cored wires using metal inert gas arc(MIG)welding for surfacing on the TiC cermet.The results show that the increase in V content promotes the element diffusion between TiC cermet and weld metal.There are no de-fects observed in the interface,and the diffusion of elements refers to excellent metallurgical bonding.The shear strength of the fusion zone initially decreases and then increases with the increase in V content.The maximum shear strength of the TiC cermet/weld interface,reaching 552 MPa,occurred when the V content reached 0.65%.Meanwhile,the average hardness in the transition zone reached 488.2 HV0.2.
查看更多>>摘要:High velocity oxygen fuel(HVOF)spraying process is commonly used to produce superalloy coatings.Inconel 625 coating was prepared on Q235B low carbon steel by HVOF.A series of experiments were conducted to examine the surface and corrosion resistance properties of Inconel 625 HVOF coating.In this paper,potentiodynamic polarization tests and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)tests were carried out to evaluate the corrosion resistance of Inconel 625 coating under simulated marine environment.The experiment-al results showed that Inconel 625 coating revealed low porosity and desired coating thickness.Shift in the corrosion potential(Ecorr)to-wards the noble direction combined with much low corrosion current density(icorr)indicating a significant improvement of HVOF Inconel 625 coating compared with the substrate.
查看更多>>摘要:Aero engine seal coatings can effectively improve the air tightness of aircraft engines and increase fuel efficiency.However,due to the frictional forces between the blades and the coating,the coating often flakes off,resulting in damage to the blades and causing eco-nomic losses.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the friction between the blades and the coating.In this paper,three ceramic-based high-temperature seal coatings with different polyphenylene ester contents and a pure Yttria-stabilised zirconia coating were prepared by atmo-spheric plasma spraying(APS).The hardness and modulus of elasticity of the coated surfaces were obtained by hardness and modulus of elasticity tests,and the coatings were subjected to high-speed touch abrasion tests.The Hertzian contact model was used to calculate the maximum normal contact load on the coating during the process.The test values were compared with the theoretical values and it was found that the calculated values were always greater than the test values.In order to make the Hertzian contact model more accurate in calculating the touching and abrasion forces,the contact coefficients in the Hertzian contact model were optimized.Substituting the optimized coeffi-cients into the Hertzian contact model,the results show that the calculated results after optimizing the coefficients are much closer to the test values,with deviations from the test values ranging from 1%to 38%.
查看更多>>摘要:Double-layer structure of seal coating which consisted of a Ni5Al bond coating and a Ni25 graphite top coating were prepared on steel substrate of gas turbine compressor cylinder block.Bond coating was prepared by atmospheric plasma spraying and top coating was prepared by flame spraying.The microstructure,mechanical properties and abradability of the coating were characterized by scanning elec-tron microscope(SEM),hardness tester,universal testing machine,thermal shock testing machine and abradability testing machine.The res-ults show that the overall spraying structure of the seal coating is uniform,the nickel metal phase is the skeleton supporting the entire coat-ing,and the coating is well bonded without separation.The seal coating has a bonding strength of not less than 7.7 MPa,excellent thermal stability,and thermal shock resistance cycle numbers at 500℃more than 50;the scratch length,deepest invasion depth and wear amount of the coating increase with rise of test temperature,with almost no coating adhesion,indicating that the seal coating has excellent abradability.
