According to news originating from Peterthe Great St. Petersburg Po lytechnic University by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, "The paperprese nts a graph model of the functioning of a network with adaptive topology, where the network nodesrepresent the vertices of the graph, and data exchange between the nodes is represented as edges."Our news editors obtained a quote from the research from Peter the Great St. Pet ersburg PolytechnicUniversity: "The dynamic nature of network interaction compl icates the solution of the task of monitoring and controlling the functioning of a network with adaptive topology, which must be performed to ensureguaranteed correct network interaction. The importance of solving such a problem is justifi ed by thecreation of modern information and cyber-physical systems, which are b ased on networks with adaptivetopology. The dynamic nature of links between nod es, on the one hand, allows to provide self-regulationof the network, on the ot her hand, significantly complicates the control over the network operation duet o the impossibility of identifying a single pattern of network interaction. On t he basis of the developedmodel of network functioning with adaptive topology, a graph algorithm for link prediction is proposed, which is extended to the case of peer-to-peer networks. The algorithm is based on significant parametersof ne twork nodes, characterizing both their physical characteristics (signal level, b attery charge) and theircharacteristics as objects of network interaction (char acteristics of centrality of graph nodes)."

查看更多>>摘要:By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning DailyNews-New research on Machine Learning is the subject o f a report. According to news originating fromBoston, Massachusetts, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, "Accurate and complete microkineticmodels (MKM s) are powerful for anticipating the behavior of complex chemical systems at dif ferentoperating conditions. In heterogeneous catalysis, they can be further use d for the rapid development andscreening of new catalysts."Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Northeastern Univer sity, "Densityfunctional theory (DFT) is often used to calculate the parameters used in MKMs with relatively highfidelity. However, given the high cost of DFT calculations for adsorbates in heterogeneous catalysis, linearscaling relation s (LSRs) and machine learning (ML) models were developed to give rapid estimates of theparameters in MKM. Regardless of the method, few studies have attempted to quantify the uncertainty incatalytic MKMs, as the uncertainties are often or ders of magnitude larger than those for gas phase models. This study explores un certainty quantification and Bayesian Parameter Estimation for thermodynamic par ameters calculated by DFT, LSRs, and GemNet-OC, a ML model developed under the O pen CatalystProject. A model for catalytic partial oxidation of methane (CPOX) on Rhodium was chosen as a casestudy, in which the model's thermodynamic parame ters and their associated uncertainties were determinedusing DFT, LSR, and GemN et-OC. Markov Chain Monte Carlo coupled with Ensemble Slice Sampling wasused to sample the highest probability density (HPD) region of the posterior and determ ine the maximumof the a posteriori (MAP) for each thermodynamic parameter inclu ded. The optimized microkineticmodels for each of the three estimation methods had quite similar mechanisms and agreed well with theexperimental data for gas phase mole fractions. Exploration of the HPD region of the posterior further revealed that adsorbed hydroxide and oxygen likely bind on facets other than Rhodiu m 111."

According to news reporting out ofSuzhou, People's Republic of China, by Ne wsRx editors, research stated, "Prior research has predominantlyfocused on how interacting with anthropomorphic robots might affect customers' psychological pr ocessesand behaviors, wherein this stream of research has presented some incons istent findings regarding itseffectiveness in the service context. This researc h aims at taking a novel angle by illuminating on thearousal-based reaction amo ng customers, and their subsequent satisfaction."Financial support for this research came from National Natural Science Foundatio n of China (NSFC).Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research from Soochow University, "Grounded inselective attention theory, this research develops a model in whic h robot anthropomorphism activatescustomers' attention, which in turn cultivate s heightened customer satisfaction. Findings across an eyetrackingexperiment ( Study 1), a field survey study (Study 2), and a scenario-based experiment (Study 3) converge to provide support to the hypotheses. The results of our mixed-meth od approach shed new lighton how robot anthropomorphism might impact customer s atisfaction. Importantly, this study contributesto the research of service robo t in the consumer psychology literature by disentangling an attention(arousal)- based mechanism through which robot anthropomorphism might induce positive custo meroutcomes. Meanwhile, it simultaneously offers timely and crucial managerial implications for practitionersto better understand the underlying arousal-based influences of digitalizing the service delivery amongcustomers."

According to news reportingoriginating in Dalian, People's Rep ublic of China, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, "Soft robotsare high-di mensional nonlinear systems coupled with both geometric and material nonlinearit y. Controlof such a system is complex and time-consuming."Funders for this research include National Natural Science Foundation of China ( NSFC), China PostdoctoralScience Foundation. The news reporters obtained a quote from the research from the Dalian University of Technology, "Inthis study, a real-time trajectory tracking control framewor k is established based on the reduced orderextended position-based dynamics. In contrast to the common nonlinear model order reduction methodsthat require to collect a large number of data to create the motion subspace, this article's mot ion subspaceis constructed based on the model configuration and material proper ties. The linear modes of the modeland the related modal derivatives provide th e reduced order matrix, which streamlines and increases theefficiency of model construction. Then, coupled with the instantaneous optimal control, a real-time reducedorder model-based control framework of soft robots can be constructed. E xperiments on trajectory trackingof a soft manipulator are conducted to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed controller."

According to newsreporting from Zurich, Switzerland, b y NewsRx journalists, research stated, "Augmented reality (AR)using head-mounte d displays (HMDs) is a powerful tool for user navigation. Existing approaches us uallydisplay navigational cues that are constantly visible (always-on)."The news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from the Swiss Federa l Institute ofTechnology, "This limits real-world application, as visual cues c an mask safety-critical objects. To addressthis challenge, we develop a context -adaptive system for safe navigation in AR using machine learning.Specifically, our system utilizes a neural network, trained to predict when to display visual cues duringAR-based navigation. For this, we conducted two user studies. In Us er Study 1, we recorded training datafrom an AR HMD. In User Study 2, we compar ed our context-adaptive system to an always-on system. We find that our context- adaptive system enables task completion speeds on a par with the always-onsyste m, promotes user autonomy, and facilitates safety through reduced visual noise."
