Iridoid glucosides from the leaves of Vitex negundo var. cannabifolia

    Sun J.Ma J.Li M.Wang R....
    7页
查看更多>>摘要:? 2021 Phytochemical Society of EuropeFive new iridoid glucosides, cannabifolisides A–E (1 – 5), together with nine analogues (6 – 14), were isolated from the leaves of Vitex negundo var. cannabifolia. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic data (NMR, UV, IR, and MS) analyses and comparison of their spectroscopic and physical data with the literature values. The protective effect of isolated compounds on human gastric epithelial cells were evaluated by measuring the enhanced cell viability of GES-1 cell insulted by TCA. Among these, compounds 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 remarkably increased the cell viability in a concentration-depend manner.

查看更多>>摘要:? 2021 Phytochemical Society of EuropeThree new germacrane-type sesquiterpene lactones, koanolides B–D (1-3) have been isolated from the aerial parts of Koanophyllon gibbosum (Asteraceae), along with the previously reported sesquiterpene lactone koanolide A and the flavonoid eupatorin. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated using spectroscopic and spectrometric data analyses, including 1D and 2D NMR, and by comparison with known spectral data. The antiproliferative activities of the new compounds were evaluated in a panel of six representative human solid tumor cell lines and showed GI50 values ranging from 1.3 to 16 μM for the new molecules.

查看更多>>摘要:? 2021 Phytochemical Society of EuropeChinese oak (Quercus serrata Thunb.) is widely distributed throughout China and plays an important role as a building material. Its seeds (acorns) have served as a traditional herbal medicine in East Asia. Eighteen oleanane-type triterpenoids, including seven previously undescribed (1, 2, and 4–8) and eleven known triterpenoids, were isolated and identified from acorns. Their structures were elucidated using various spectroscopic and chemical methods. All isolated triterpenoids were screened for anti-neuroinflammatory effects by measuring their abilities to inhibit nitric oxide (NO) production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced BV-2 microglial cells, and most of the triterpenoids exhibited obvious anti-neuroinflammatory activity. Among them, Compounds 1 and 5 exhibited the strongest NO inhibitory activity, reduced the expression of inflammatory cytokines (iNOS, COX-2, and TNF-α), and blocked the nuclear translocation of NF-κB.

查看更多>>摘要:? 2021 Phytochemical Society of EuropeTwo new azaphilones, penicilazaphilones F (1) and G (2) together with two known analogs (3 and 4), were isolated from fermentation cultures of the marine-derived fungus Penicillium sclerotiorum E23Y-1A. Their structures were elucidated based on spectroscopic methods, including IR, MS, 1D and 2D NMR, as well as by comparison with published data. The absolute configuration of compound 1 was unambiguously determined using electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculation. All isolated compounds were evaluated for their anti-inflammatory effects. Compounds 1-4 inhibited the lipopolysaccharide-induced production of nitric oxide (NO) in BV-2 cells, with IC50 values of 31.7 ± 1.5, 34.5 ± 1.4, 25.3 ± 2.2, and 34.8 ± 1.9 μM, respectively. In contrast, these compounds showed no obvious cytotoxicity at a concentration of 50.0 μM.

查看更多>>摘要:? 2021 Phytochemical Society of EuropeAustalides, a series of natural meroterpenoids, were mainly isolated from marine-derived fungal genera Aspergillus and Penicillium. To date, a total of 38 austalides have been reported, which are divided into five subclasses including 5/6/6/6 tetracyclic, 5/6/6/6/6 pentacyclic, 5/6/6/6/7 pentacyclic, 5/6/6/6/6/5 hexacyclic, and 5/6/6/6/5/6/5 heptacyclic types. Biogenetically, austalides are derived from 6-[(2E,6E) farnesyl]-5,7-dihydroxy-4-methylphthalide, and have been found to possess diversified bioactivities such as antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral, antifouling, promoter enhancement, as well as α-glucosidase, AP-1 transcription factor, endo-1,3-β-D-glucanase and osteoclast di?;erentiation inhibitory effects. Their unusual molecular frameworks and diverse biological activities have also attracted great interest of synthetic scientists to synthesize them. This review describes the research progress on the chemical structures, bioactivities and synthesis of austalides since 1981, and aim to provide a scientific basis for the discovery and utilization of austalides.

All structures were determined based on their spectroscopic data (1D and 2D NMR (including 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 1H-1H COSY, HMBC, HSQC, HSQC-TOCSY, and NOESY experiments), and MS). Biological evaluation showed that compounds 1–4 inhibited the production of nitric oxide (NO) in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells with IC50 values of 18.0, 38.7, 29.5, and 47.1 μM, respectively. These results indicated that compound 1 has potential anti-inflammatory activity.

查看更多>>摘要:? 2021 Phytochemical Society of EuropeFive new germacrane sesquiterpene lactones, petrophins A–E (1–5), were isolated from the whole herbs of Salvia petrophila. The structures were established using spectroscopic analysis (1D and 2D NMR, HR-ESI-MS) and compatible with values in the literature. These sesquiterpenes are unusual with an endocyclic double bond in the γ-lactone ring. All the isolated compounds were evaluated for their inhibitory effects on the LPS-induced nitric oxide production using murine macro-phage RAW264.7 cells.
